I just had the above question answered for me, if anyone is interested. Apparently, I forgot that I work at AMG - where you can sling a question like this out into the office and it usually comes back with the correct answer attached.

Here's the skinny on that mysterious line from "Love Will Keep Us Together"...

Neil Sedaka had a major comeback in 1975. Not only did he score #1 hits with 'Laughter in the Rain" and "Bad Blood," he wrote this #1 smash for the Captain and Tennille. Even the background singers sing "Sedaka Is Back" near the end of the song.
