May the (small) circle (of friends) be unbroken...

Ahhh Mr Auclair! Roger Nichols & the Small Circle of Friends' version of 'Snow Queen'. Awesome. I also regard their take on Bacharach's 'Don't Go Breaking My Heart' to be THE best version (Noah, forgive me)....the high, climbing backing vocals during the chorus send goosebumps up my arm every time I listen to it. And, while I'm at it, are any of you cats hip to The Critters? They had a minor hit (with the majorly cool, improbably spelled tune) "Mr Dieingly Sad". Sadly, "Mr Dieingly Sad" was the only tune in their lexicon that really delivered the goods...but what an awesome showpiece it is. I'll try and find a file on it to post...but don't wait on me -- grab this one for yourselves. I put my mark of quality on it...good stuff!
